Your privacy
What we can see. What stays private.
You do not connect your social accounts to this website. We cannot read your posts or delete them for you. We show you the steps, and you make the changes in each social app.
Your checkmarks stay on your device
You can mark a guide to remind yourself that you checked your posts. That mark is saved in your browser. We do not receive it, and you can undo it.
If your browser cannot save the mark, it lasts only until you close the page. A checkmark is your own reminder. It does not tell us whether you removed a post.
Your language choice stays in your browser
We start with your browser's preferred language. If you choose English or Spanish, we try to remember that choice in this browser. The language links still work if your browser cannot save it.
The Spanish pages are machine translated. You can suggest a correction by email. The link opens a draft with the page address; nothing is sent until you press Send.
Your files stay with you
Our copy tools work with folders you choose on your computer. They read the files to copy them or check that two copies match. They do not upload your files to us.
If you put a copy in Google Drive or Dropbox, that company can access the files you store there. Its storage limits and charges apply. Check there that the upload finished. Our tools cannot check that for you.
A matching copy means the files match what you selected. It does not mean the social platform gave you everything you ever posted.
Your browser may remember permission to open a folder. You can remove that permission in your browser settings.
We count how the guides are used
For example, we count how often people open a guide or click a Help link. This helps us see which parts of the site people use.
Those counts do not include your name, social account, posts, files, or the text you copy. We do not use a tracking cookie for them. We keep the counts for up to three months.
If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control request, we skip these counts. These are browser settings that ask websites to limit tracking.
Cloudflare runs the website for us. It also handles information about visits to keep the site working and protect it from abuse. Some technical records are kept separately from the usage counts above.
When you follow a Help link to Instagram or another service, you leave our site. That service’s privacy rules then apply.
Ads for time away from social media
The free guide has one optional ad placement for offline activities. The first ads are unpaid picks: we receive no payment or commission and have no affiliation with the listed organizations. You do not need to buy anything to use the guide.
We choose from a reviewed list, not your social posts, location or browsing history. We do not record ad views, clicks or activity choices, use ad cookies, or load an ad network. Hiding ads or choosing an activity lasts only on the open page.
An ad link takes you to another website, where that site's privacy rules apply. We send no referral code or page address with the link. Reporting a problem opens an email draft with the ad's name; you choose whether to send it.
We receive what you choose to email
If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write so we can reply. Please leave out passwords, private posts, photos, and downloaded social-account files.
Email a question about your data. This opens your email app. Nothing is sent until you press Send.
This page covers the free guides and computer copy tools available today. Account connections, automatic deletion, and paid storage are still being developed. They are not part of this service.
