Remove posts in the platform’s app, then check your profile there. ### Instagram In Instagram 1. Tap Profile → Menu → Your activity → Posts. 2. Filter by date, starting with last month. 3. Select the posts you choose, then tap Delete and confirm. ### Something to keep? Save a copy first Choose the information and date range you want. To keep the original export files, select Export to device, download every ZIP part, and open important items. We have not checked Meta’s separate external-service option for the same files. This guide cannot verify removal. ### TikTok In TikTok 1. Review posts from last month on your TikTok profile. 2. To remove a video, open it and tap More options → Delete. 3. For a photo post, check its controls in the app. TikTok keeps deleted posts in Recently deleted for up to 30 days. ### Something to keep? Save a copy first Download the data file when TikTok says it is ready; it is available for up to four days. It may omit information, so save and open photos or videos you want to keep separately. This guide cannot verify removal. ### Snapchat In Snapchat 1. Review older public Snaps still visible on your Public Profile, Spotlight, or Snap Map. 2. For a Story Snap still visible, tap your Bitmoji or Story icon, open that Story, swipe up on the Snap, then tap the trash can → Delete. 3. Use the Help links below for Spotlight and Snap Map. Most Story Snaps expire, usually after 24 hours. ### Something to keep? Save a copy first Snapchat’s My Data file may omit older items. Memories can need a separate export and download. Your Snapchat account stays open. Spotlight and Snap Map Snaps remain; remove those separately. Check anything you want to keep first. Open a post’s menu and choose Delete. Other people’s replies remain; posts shared to the fediverse may remain on other servers. ### Something to keep? This guide cannot verify removal. ### Facebook In Facebook 1. In Activity Log, start with posts from last month. 2. Delete a post individually, or use Manage Activity in the Facebook mobile app to select eligible posts for Trash. Deleting in Activity Log cannot be undone. Posts moved to Trash can be restored for 30 days. Hiding a post from your profile can leave it visible elsewhere. ### Something to keep? Save a copy first Choose the information and date range you want. To keep the original export files, select Export to device, download every ZIP part, and open important items. This guide cannot verify removal. ### LinkedIn In LinkedIn 1. On your profile, open Activity → Posts. 2. Open a post’s More menu, choose Delete post, and confirm. Activity may be hidden after 360 days without activity and shows content up to two years old. Older post URLs in a data download may no longer open. LinkedIn says content marked as spam cannot be deleted. ### Something to keep? Save a copy first On a computer, request your data in Settings & Privacy → Data privacy → Download your data. LinkedIn lists shared-post dates and URLs in Shares; Rich Media contains media links. Inspect what you receive and save any photo, video, or document you want to keep. A link in the export is not a verified media copy. If it syncs to Drive or Dropbox, confirm the upload there and download a file to check it. ### How to upload and check your copy 1. **Download the export.** Keep every file and ZIP part the platform supplies. An export may omit older items. 2. **Upload every supplied file.** Create a new empty folder in your Google Drive or Dropbox. Upload every ZIP part and loose file. If the export includes folders, use the provider’s website or desktop app on a computer to preserve their subfolders; mobile folder uploads are unverified. 3. **Wait for the upload.** Check your provider’s upload or sync status and resolve any errors. 4. **Check the copy.** Compare every supplied folder and subfolder path, filename, and file size with your download. Download and open an important saved file before clearing posts. Keep your original download until you are satisfied with the copy.
