# TikTok: free post-clearing guide

You choose and remove posts in the platform, then check the result there. This guide cannot connect your account or verify removal. Saving a copy is optional.

1. Review posts from last month  on your TikTok profile.
2. To remove a video, open it and tap More options → Delete.
3. For a photo post, check its controls in the app.

TikTok keeps deleted posts in Recently deleted for up to 30 days.

### Something to keep? Save a copy first

Download the data file when TikTok says it is ready; it is available for up to four days. It may omit information, so save and open photos or videos you want to keep separately.
