Desktop beta. The browser checks the new folder on this computer. If it syncs to Drive or Dropbox, confirm the upload there and download a file to check it.
How to upload and check your copy
- Download the export. Keep every file and ZIP part the platform supplies. An export may omit older items.
- Upload every supplied file. Create a new empty folder in your Google Drive or Dropbox. Upload every ZIP part and loose file. If the export includes folders, use the provider’s website or desktop app on a computer to preserve their subfolders; mobile folder uploads are unverified.
- Wait for the upload. Check your provider’s upload or sync status and resolve any errors.
- Check the copy. Compare every supplied folder and subfolder path, filename, and file size with your download. Download and open an important saved file before clearing posts.
Keep your original download until you are satisfied with the copy.
On a computer, check every file against a separate download from your provider. This free check cannot confirm cloud sync or a complete platform export.
This route does not connect your account to Delete My Social or Unburdened. Your provider can access files you upload; its account, space limits, and charges apply.
